“With determination, hard work, and a great support team you can make anything happen.“
— Meryl Davis and Charlie White, 2014 Olympic Ice Dance Champions
As an Olympian and student, Meryl treasures the ability to continue learning as she sees the world doing what she loves: skating. With a passion for culture and travel, Meryl’s pursuit of an anthropology degree at the University of Michigan was inspired, in part, by the many international adventures on which her skating career has taken her. When she’s not on the road, Meryl most loves spending time with her friends and family at home in Detroit, Michigan.
I think success is finding happiness!
Along the path to becoming Olympic champion, Charlie took to heart many of the tough lessons, values, and philosophies that are inherent to the process of becoming the best version of oneself as an athlete and as a person. Whether studying at the University of Michigan or skating around the world, Charlie continues to find joy in learning more about himself and the world, and looks forward to taking these lessons and finding ways in which he can help others transform their lives and their communities for the better. When not traveling the world, Charlie can be found at his home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, enjoying life with his wife, Tanith White, and their two wonderful dogs.
Being perfect is not about that scoreboard out there. It’s not about winning. It’s about you and your relationship with yourself, your family and your friends.
